Besan Gatta Curry/Gram Flour Dumplings in Spicy Curry - Style 1

I don't know whether this Dish Orginates from Rajasthan or MP (states of India) or by Sindhis (ethnic community originated from Sindh) but this surely is different and amazing

Ingredients:

  • 200 gms Besan/Gram Flour
  • 1 tsp Dhaniya powder /Coriander Powder
  • 2 tbsp Ghee/ oil 
  • 250 gms dahi/Curd
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 pinch Haldi/Turmeric

Direction

  • Mix besan with adding 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tsp. dhaniya powder and ghee.
  • Make a stiff dough. Make 5-6 thin and long strips of the dough.
  • Put these strips in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Cut these gattas into small pieces.
  • Strain the curd through a strainer. Add 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp red chilly powder, 1/2 tsp. dhaniya powder and haldi to the curd. Mix well.
  • Add the gatta pieces. Heat oil in a kadahi/pan. All cumin/jeera, when it splutters addChilli Powder and Curd mixture.
  • Cook it for 5-7 minutes while stirring continuously till it comes to a boil.
  • Simmer the flame and cook for another 5-7 minutes.Turn off the gas.

Hey... reading this remnds me - me should cook some easy food for lunch. I just feel so tired right now. Plsu, I'm beginnign to doubt my cooking as of now. I  doubt whether it'll turn out that good. O well, I really ought to get up  and start chopping veggies instead of checking blog posts.
