Ingredients:

1 kg doodhi/bottle gourd approx 2.2 pounds

1/4 gallon milk

2 cups sugar or more

Pinch Elaichi powder (cardomon)

saffron few flakes

1 tbsp ghee/Clarified butter
Direction:
- Peel and grate Dudhi/bottle gourd.
- Put milk and dudhi in a heavy saucepan. Boil till thick, stirring occassionally. Once it starts thickening, stir continuously.
- Add sugar and cook further till thickens. Add ghee, elaichi and saffron. Stir on low heat till the ghee oozes out.
- Serve hot, decorated with a chopped almond or pista.
